Buhari Wins ADC Guber Ticket for Borno 2027 Elections

Babagana Mamman Buhari emerged as the winner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial ticket for the 2027 elections in Borno State. He received a total of 71,867 votes, the highest count in the direct primary election, which was declared by Mai Adamu Mustapha.

The election results showed that a total of 74,933 valid votes were cast out of 85,567 accredited voters, with 102,900 registered voters in the state. Buhari's main competitors, Attom Moham Magira and Sanusi Kashim Ibrahim, garnered 2,033 and 1,033 votes, respectively.

With this victory, Buhari aims to reshape the political landscape in Borno State as he prepares to face Engr Mustapha Gubio, the candidate representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the upcoming 2027 general elections.
