Shettima Vows No Tolerance for Terrorism in Nigeria

On Saturday, Vice President Kashim Shettima addressed the recent violent insurgent attacks in Borno State, reaffirming the federal government's commitment to ensuring that no part of Nigeria falls under terrorist control. Shettima's statements came in response to a series of violent incidents, including abductions.

He noted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has already directed a comprehensive mobilization of security forces to confront these attacks and restore stability in affected areas. Shettima emphasized that the government will not tolerate any sanctuary for terrorists and will not be intimidated by cowardly attacks.

He disclosed that additional tactical resources and intelligence support have been deployed to enhance ongoing operations in the Northeast. Furthermore, he assured that perpetrators of these attacks will be held accountable and reaffirmed the government's commitment to rescuing abducted victims, expressing solidarity with the families of brave soldiers who have paid the ultimate price in the line of duty.
