Nigeria's Vice President Shettima Responds to Insurgent Attacks

Vice President Kashim Shettima affirmed that Nigeria will not surrender to insurgents, responding to recent attacks in Borno State. He condemned the violence and assured that the Nigerian Federal Government is determined to protect the lives and properties of its citizens.

The attacks reportedly included abductions and assaults in areas such as Konduga, Jakana, and Mainok. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has already briefed the situation to ensure a quick and full mobilization of Nigeria's security system.

Shettima highlighted that the federal government has begun deploying tactical equipment and intelligence support to the affected regions. He reassured Nigerians that the government will respond to these attacks with full force and will not allow Nigeria to become a safe haven for those seeking to displace citizens from their land.
