Yobe Governor Donates N10M to Borno Bombing Victims

On Wednesday, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni expressed condolences to the families of victims affected by recent bomb explosions in Maiduguri, Borno State, which resulted in 23 fatalities. While performing the lesser hajj (Umrah) in Mecca, he sent a delegation led by Deputy Governor Idi Gubana to convey his sympathies.

Buni lamented the ongoing violence that innocent citizens face daily and described the incident as tragic and unfortunate. He urged residents to remain vigilant and support security agencies by reporting suspicious activities.

Buni reaffirmed the bond between Yobe and Borno states, noting that the pain from such incidents affects both states equally. In response to the tragedy, the Yobe State Government announced a donation of N10 million to assist the affected families.

Deputy Governor Umar Usman Kadafur acknowledged the solidarity shown by the Yobe delegation and highlighted the ongoing security challenges faced by both states, calling for sustained collaboration and prayers for peace in the region.
