BPSR Urges Stronger Digital Infrastructure for Nigeria

Mr. Dasuki Ibrahim Arabi, the Director General of the Bureau of Public Service Reform (BPSR), addressed the urgent need for Nigeria to enhance its digital public infrastructure (DPI) to drive economic growth and improve governance.

Speaking at the ITGov 2026 conference in Abuja, he highlighted that effective governance increasingly relies on sound policies and innovative technology to deliver citizen-centered public services. Arabi noted that governments worldwide are investing in digital public infrastructure to enhance service delivery, transparency, and national security.

He stressed that achieving meaningful digital transformation requires broad collaboration among government institutions, the private sector, academia, and civil society organizations. The BPSR has launched three strategic digital reform platforms aimed at strengthening public sector reform coordination and evidence-based decision-making.

Arabi reaffirmed the bureau's commitment to modernizing public service and enhancing service delivery quality in Nigeria, urging stakeholders to collaborate in advancing these reforms.
