BPSR and Govtech Africa Sign MoU for Digital Reform

On June 15, 2026, the Bureau of Public Service Reform (BPSR) and Govtech Africa Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to transform federal government websites and enhance digital service delivery in Nigeria. The partnership aims to upgrade digital governance standards across federal ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) through three interrelated workstreams.

These include designing and executing reports, upgrading the branding of annual assessments of MDAs' websites, and building sustainable digital capabilities within the federal civil service. The MoU emphasizes the importance of credible technology-driven training and post-training certification pathways for MDAs' webmasters.

The initiative is expected to strengthen the credibility of the federal government's scorecard and improve public service delivery standards. BPSR's mandate includes driving public service reform, and this collaboration with Govtech Africa, a pan-African civic technology firm, is aligned with Nigeria's public service reform agenda.
