Abia Hosts First International Para-Badminton Championship

Abia State is hosting its first International Para-Badminton Championship, with fourteen countries including Brazil, India, and Egypt participating. The event, taking place in Umuahia from September 30 to October 12, 2025, will see 150 international players and 60 officials competing.

Abia State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Nwobilor Ananaba, confirmed the preparations for the championship, emphasizing the state government's readiness to host the international community. The President of the Badminton Federation Nigeria, Mr.
