APC Forms Campaign Council for Osun Governorship Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the formation of its National Campaign Council in preparation for the Osun state governorship election set for August 15, 2026. The council will be chaired by Imo state Governor Hope Uzodimma, who is also the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum.

Co-chairmen include Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas. The council's deputy chairman is Ibrahim Kabir Masari, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, while Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin will serve as Secretary.

The council comprises governors, members of the National Working Committee, principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers, and other key party stakeholders. The APC aims to mobilize support and coordinate campaign activities through this council.

Additionally, specialized sub-committees have been established for various campaign functions. The inauguration of the council and its sub-committees is scheduled for July 28, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Event Centre in Abuja.
