ADC Affidavit Confirms David Mark's Leadership Role

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) publicly released an affidavit on September 12, 2025, confirming the leadership of its National Working Committee (NWC) under David Mark. This document affirms the party's internal processes and emphasizes the importance of maintaining autonomy in political affairs without external interference.

The ADC expressed strong concerns regarding attempts to manipulate democratic institutions, specifically alleging that the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led by Prof. Amupitan, could undermine the credibility of the electoral process. The affidavit explicitly states that the leadership transition within the ADC is in accordance with party clauses 14 and 19, reinforcing the principle that political parties should retain control over their internal matters.

The ADC warns that actions perceived as biased by INEC could weaken public trust and threaten the foundation of fair elections in Nigeria.
