Adeleke Wins 19 LGs in Osun Governorship Election

In the Osun State governorship election held on Saturday, Ademola Adeleke, the candidate of the Accord Party, emerged victorious in 19 of the 30 local governments. The results were announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the State Collation Centre in Osogbo on Sunday morning.

In contrast, Bola Oyebamiji, representing the All Progressives Congress (APC), won in 11 local governments. The results from various local governments showed Adeleke's significant lead in several areas, including Ede North with 35,427 votes and Osogbo with 36,480 votes.

Oyebamiji's highest vote count was in Irewole with 29,972 votes. The election results reflect a clear division in voter preference between the two candidates, with Adeleke's Accord Party gaining a substantial foothold in the state.
