Air Peace Flight Operations Disrupted by Labor Action

Air Peace flight operations faced nationwide disruptions due to an industrial action initiated by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress, who locked the airline’s operational terminals. This protest significantly impacted early-morning flights at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, resulting in stranded passengers.

An Air Peace flight scheduled to depart Lagos at 6:30 a.m. was unable to take off due to the protest. The full extent of the disruption across Air Peace’s network had not been independently verified at the time of reporting.

Michael Achimugu, the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, confirmed the occurrence of a union-related incident. Affected traveler YoufoundAlex expressed frustration on X, stating he was stranded at the airport and missed a 9:00 a.m. appointment in Abuja.

Passengers were advised to check their flight status directly with Air Peace, which had not yet released an official statement regarding the situation.
