Maikalangu Donates Borehole to NUJ FCT Council

On Thursday, Christoph Maikalangu, the Chairman-Elect of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), announced the donation of a borehole to the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council. This initiative is part of his efforts to promote grassroots development and strengthen partnerships with the media.

The announcement came during a courtesy visit from NUJ FCT Council Chairman Grace Ik, who congratulated Maikalangu on his victory in the municipal elections held the previous Saturday. Yahaya Ndambabo, the Vice Chairman of the NUJ FCT Council, expressed appreciation for the donation, highlighting it as a demonstration of Maikalangu's commitment to grassroots development and media collaboration.

Ndambabo noted that the electoral outcome reflected the confidence of the residents in AMAC and emphasized the importance of the NUJ's role in providing coverage and monitoring elections across the five area councils in the FCT. Maikalangu thanked the NUJ for their support and reiterated his commitment to infrastructure development and community engagement.
