APC Lawmaker Wanted for Million Naira Fraud in Plateau State

The Federal High Court in Abuja has declared Adamu Aliyu, an APC lawmaker from Plateau State, wanted over alleged fraud amounting to millions. The court granted the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) the authority to publish a notice of Aliyu being wanted in national newspapers and social media platforms.

The case stems from a petition by a businessman accusing Aliyu of using fake contracts to defraud him of N850 million. Aliyu allegedly promised to secure a TETFund contract for the University of Jos in exchange for payments.

The court empowered law enforcement agencies, including the police, to arrest Aliyu.
