Court Orders FCT Workers to Halt Strike Amid Legal Dispute

The National Industrial Court Abuja has issued an order for Federal Capital Territory (FCT) workers to suspend their ongoing strike. The court case was filed against the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) Chairman, Rifkatu Iortyer, and Secretary, Abdullahi Umar Saleh.

The court order seeks to restrain the workers from engaging in industrial action, picketing, or lockouts. The ruling emphasizes that while workers have the right to strike, it is not absolute, especially when a dispute is referred to the court.

The order remains in force pending the final determination of the case by the court.
