Nigerian Court Threatens Nnamdi Kanu Over Failure to Open Defense

The Federal High Court in Abuja has warned Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), for failing to open his defense for the fourth time. Justice James Omotosho issued the warning after Kanu continuously refused to enter his defense, leading the court to dismiss his no-case submission.

Kanu, who insists on representing himself without legal counsel, faces the possibility of the court proceeding without his defense being heard. The case has been adjourned to November 5th for further proceedings.
