Kebbi Governor Suspends Health Commissioner Over Negligence

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has suspended the state's Commissioner of Health, Yunusa Isma'il, over alleged negligence and dereliction of duty. The suspension, effective immediately, was announced by the Secretary to the Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida.

This move is part of the administration's emphasis on accountability and discipline in public service. The suspension comes amidst growing criticism of the state's healthcare system.

Governor Idris also recently suspended 66 officials for absenteeism, reinforcing the need for appointees to prioritize their state duties over private engagements. This disciplinary action aligns with the administration's commitment to ensuring efficiency and dedication in public service delivery in Kebbi State.
