Bello El-Rufai and Three Reps Defect to New Parties

Bello El-Rufai, the son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This announcement was made by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abba Tajudeen, during a plenary session on Thursday.

Alongside Bello El-Rufai, two other members from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Umar Ajilo and Suleiman Yahaya Richifa, also joined the ADC. Additionally, Kamilu Ado from Kano State defected to the ADC from the APC.

Furthermore, Joshua Obika, representing the Amac Bwari Federal Constituency in the Federal Capital Territory, resigned from the APC to join the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). These defections are seen as a response to the growing internal crises and uncertainties within the former political parties.
