Ex-Minister Adelabu's Sister and Sons Kidnapped in Ibadan

Busayo Adegok, the younger sister of former Minister Adebayo Adelabu, was abducted by armed gunmen in Ibadan, Oyo State, along with her 12-year-old twin sons, John Paul and Peter Paul. The kidnapping took place around 7:30 AM on a Wednesday morning as they were dropping the children off at school in the Elewura area.

A statement from Femi Awogboro, a media aide to Adebayo Adelabu, confirmed the incident. Following the abduction, relevant security and law enforcement agencies were contacted, and preliminary investigations commenced to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and the apprehension of the perpetrators.

Adebayo Adelabu expressed that the entire family is deeply distressed by this tragic development and remains hopeful for a safe release. The family has appealed to the public to remain calm and avoid speculation that could jeopardize ongoing security operations, while also soliciting prayers and support during this difficult period.
