Nigeria Police Rescue Adebayo Adelabu's Sister, Children

On June 3, 2026, Olaid Busayo Adegok, the younger sister of former Power Minister Adebayo Adelabu, and her two children, including 12-year-old twin sons John Paul and Peter Paul, were rescued by the Nigeria Police. The rescue operation was initiated following intelligence reports and involved a confrontation with the kidnappers, leading to a gun duel.

During the operation, two suspects were neutralized, and two firearms were recovered. The kidnapping occurred around 7:30 AM when the victims were abducted while dropping the children off at school.

The police's tactical response pressured the kidnappers, facilitating the successful rescue of the victims. Sources indicate that some members of the kidnapping syndicate managed to escape with gunshot wounds.
