Gunmen Abduct Adebayo Adelabu's Sister and Nephews

On Wednesday around 7:30 AM, Olaid Busayo Adegok, the younger sister of former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, was abducted by gunmen in Ibadan, Oyo State, along with her twin sons, Peter Paul and Busayo John Paul, aged 12 and 43, respectively. The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the incident and deployed tactical teams to ensure the victims' safe release and to apprehend the perpetrators.

Adebayo Adelabu's media aide, Femi Awogboro, expressed the family's distress and confidence in the security agencies to secure the victims' release. The APC in Oyo State has urged Governor Seyi Makinde to collaborate with security agencies to address the rising insecurity in the state.

The incident has raised public concern, especially following previous unresolved kidnapping cases in the region. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar condemned the abduction, highlighting the worsening security situation in Nigeria and calling for a comprehensive approach to combat insecurity.
