Foreign Affairs Minister Tuggar Resigns Ahead of Elections

Yusuf Tuggar has officially resigned from his position as Nigeria's Foreign Affairs Minister in President Bola Tinubu's cabinet. The confirmation of his resignation was made by Bashir Ahmad via a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Tuggar reportedly submitted his resignation letter on Monday, with expectations to formally bid farewell during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting. His resignation is strategically timed as he prepares to contest for the governorship of Bauchi State in the upcoming 2027 elections.
