Fubara Focuses on Infrastructure After APC Primaries Exit

Siminalayi Fubara, the Governor of River State, revealed his commitment to infrastructure development following his withdrawal from the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries ahead of the 2027 elections. During a press briefing on Friday, just 48 hours after his withdrawal, Fubara emphasized that his administration remains focused on executing projects that directly improve the lives of residents.

He inspected the new airport road bypass project, which is currently 65% complete and is expected to be delivered by October 2026. Fubara assured the people that every project initiated will be completed, underscoring his dedication to the development agenda of the state.

The airport road bypass is designed to provide an alternative access route around the airport corridor, reducing disruptions caused by frequent road blockades and protests that have previously affected commercial activities in the area.
