Governor of Edo State has approved the payment of a ₦17 million debt owed to principals by the previous administration. The debt, related to uniform expenses, was confirmed by the Edo State government following a committee's visit to schools.

The debt originated from a uniform committee established by the former administration, which was later dissolved, leaving the outstanding amount unpaid. The Executive Chairman of the SSEB, Maureen Ekhoragbon, expressed gratitude for the governor's approval, highlighting his commitment to transparency and accountability.

The principals were commended for their patience, and the government's swift action was praised for resolving the long-standing issue.
