Edo Governor Rewards Team Edo with N10m for National Youth Games Success

Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo of Edo State rewarded Team Edo with N10 million for their exceptional performance at the 9th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, where they secured third place overall. The Governor praised the team's resilience and dedication, presenting the athletes with the cash reward at the Government House in Benin City.

Team Edo won a total of 33 gold, 18 silver, and 28 bronze medals. Governor Okpebholo encouraged the athletes to aim for the top position in the next edition, emphasizing the state's commitment to supporting sports excellence.

The Chairman of Edo State Sports Commission, Amadin Desmond Enabulele, also commended the Governor's support for sports development.
