Hotel Building Collapse in Abuja Traps Several Workers

On Friday, a two-storey hotel building undergoing construction in Jikwoyi, on the outskirts of Abuja, collapsed around 11:30 AM. The incident reportedly left several workers trapped under the debris.

Eyewitness accounts indicated that the building appeared structurally unstable, raising concerns about adherence to construction safety standards. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) quickly responded to distress calls at the scene shortly after the collapse.

Rescue teams worked diligently to evacuate the trapped workers, although preliminary reports did not specify the exact number of individuals trapped inside the building. Local residents joined the emergency response efforts to locate and assist victims.
