Seven Injured in Abuja Building Collapse in Jikwoyi

On the morning of the incident, a two-storey building collapsed in the Jikwoyi suburb of Abuja around 11 a.m., resulting in injuries to seven individuals. At the time of the collapse, 17 workers were present on the upper floor of the building.

The FCT Emergency Management Department, led by Nkechi Isa, coordinated the search and rescue efforts. Five workers were injured and trapped, while one male worker was found on the ground level.

Emergency responders included the National Emergency Management Agency, Federal Capital Development Authority, Federal Fire Service, and FCT Police Command, who mobilized to the scene. Injured workers were rescued and subsequently referred to a local hospital in Jikwoyi for treatment.
