Ali Isa Resigns from PDP as House Minority Whip

Ali Isa, the Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, announced his resignation from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. In his resignation letter addressed to the chairman of Kindiyo Ward in Balanga Local Government Area, Gombe State, Isa cited deep internal issues within the party, describing a loss of democratic values and the emergence of factions that contradict the party's principles.

He stated that his decision followed extensive consultations with political stakeholders, family, and friends, leading him to conclude that a different political path was necessary for the welfare of his constituents. Isa expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided by the PDP, acknowledging its role in his emergence as a member of the National Assembly.
