INEC Postpones Voter Revalidation Until After 2027 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the postponement of the nationwide voter revalidation exercise, originally scheduled before the 2027 general elections, until after these elections. This decision was communicated in an official statement released by INEC Chairman Moham Haruna on Friday.

The postponement follows a crucial meeting of the commission, which concluded that the current priorities necessitate a focus on preparations for the 2027 general elections. The voter revalidation exercise aims to update and verify voter records across Nigeria, ensuring the accuracy and credibility of the voter register.
