NDLEA Seizes N3 Billion Heroin Haul at Abuja Airport

The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) made a significant security breakthrough at Abuja Airport by intercepting 30 kg of heroin valued at N3 billion. The agency arrested a 30-year-old Brazilian woman, Ingrid Rosa Benevid, for allegedly smuggling the drugs.

Additionally, at other airports, two suspects, Adediran Adedoyin Afatakpa and Ochuko, were caught with opioids and a large consignment of cannabis. The seizures reflect NDLEA's intensified efforts to combat drug trafficking syndicates exploiting Nigeria's transportation hubs.

Investigations are ongoing to uncover the origins of the drug shipments and the networks involved in the smuggling attempts.
