NDLEA Intercepts Brazilian Woman with N3bn Heroin in Abuja Airport Drug Bust

The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) intercepted a 30-year-old Brazilian woman, Ingrid Benevid, at Abuja Airport with 30.09 kilograms of heroin concealed in coffee packs valued at N3 billion. Additionally, NDLEA operatives intercepted passengers with pills en route to Turkey and a boat carrying 1,848 kilograms of cannabis at Jakande Beach in Lekki, Lagos.

Several suspects, including Adediran Adedoyin, Afatakpa Ochuko, Aminu Baba, and Abdulrashe Abubakar, were arrested in connection with drug trafficking activities. The agency's operations spanned across various states, leading to the arrest of multiple suspects and the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit drugs.

NDLEA continues its efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks and curb cross-border smuggling in Nigeria.
