Nigerian Troops Neutralize 38 ISWAP Terrorists in Borno

On Saturday morning, Nigerian troops from the Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, led by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba, engaged in a significant operation against ISWAP terrorists in Borno State. The operation was a response to a terrorist attack at Fob Mandaragirau, where the troops successfully overpowered the attackers.

According to a statement issued by the Joint Task Force, the troops executed a coordinated ambush that forced the terrorists to withdraw disorderly. Close air support was provided, enhancing the troops' ability to target the terrorists effectively.

As a result, a total of 38 terrorists were neutralized, with 8 bodies recovered from the immediate engagement area. Local human intelligence confirmed an additional 30 terrorist bodies along with weapons scattered in the Garin Mallum, Garin Gajer, and Timbuktu Triangle areas.

The troops recovered 7 AK-47 rifles, 8 magazines, and 4 RPG bombs, with no fatalities reported among the troops despite an RPG fire injuring personnel, who were promptly stabilized. The operation triggered widespread jubilation among the local community, highlighting the sustained dominance of Operation Hadin Kai in denying terrorists freedom of action.
