Nigerian Military Eliminates 61 ISWAP Terrorists in Borno

On Wednesday, Nigerian military forces successfully repelled an early morning attack by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in Malam Fatori, located in the Abadam Local Government Area of Borno. The operation, part of the ongoing military campaign "Hadin Kai," involved close coordination between the Nigerian Army troops and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

During the confrontation, the Nigerian troops killed no fewer than 61 ISWAP terrorists who attempted to infiltrate the area. The terrorists launched their attack with armed drones and advanced foot soldiers, aiming to breach the defenses of the 68 Battalion.

However, they faced overwhelming firepower from the Bravo Company, which was supported by precise air strikes. The fierce battle resulted in heavy casualties for the insurgents, and additional strikes from allied Nigerien air assets further pressured the fleeing terrorists.

The operation sustained minor injuries among the troops, who received medical attention.
