NUPENG Orders Tanker Drivers to Boycott Dangote Depot Over Union Dispute

NUPENG has directed Petroleum Tanker Drivers to cease loading at the Dangote Refinery depot due to a union rights dispute. The union accuses Dangote Refinery of undermining its members' livelihoods by recruiting drivers under strict conditions that bypass union affiliation.

NUPENG claims this violates constitutional rights and international labor laws. Despite appeals from various bodies, including NARTO, Dangote has allegedly ignored requests to reverse its stance.

The disruption in petroleum product distribution could lead to fuel scarcity nationwide as tensions escalate between NUPENG and Dangote Refinery.
