Oyebanji Wins Ekiti Governorship Election with 319,224 Votes

Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of the Ekiti State governorship election, securing 319,224 votes. His closest challenger, Wole Oluyede from the People's Democratic Party (PDP), garnered 40,543 votes, while Dare Bejid of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) received 12,872 votes.

The election, overseen by Professor Adenik Oladiji, reported a total of 988,251 registered voters, with 384,940 accredited to participate. A total of 382,109 votes were cast across 16 local government areas, with 375,777 votes declared valid and 6,332 votes rejected.

Professor Oladiji confirmed that Oyebanji met all legal requirements and scored the highest number of votes, thus affirming his position as the governor of Ekiti State.
