Adeleke Congratulates Oyebanji on Ekiti Re-election Victory

Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, congratulated Biodun Oyebanji on his decisive victory in the recent Ekiti State governorship election, where Oyebanji was re-elected with a total of 319,224 votes, defeating his closest rival, Wole Oluyed of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 40,543 votes. Adeleke described Oyebanji's landslide victory as a mark of confidence in his leadership and a testament to the progress made during his first term.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) also expressed optimism about replicating this success in the forthcoming Osun governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026. Olatunbosun Oyintiloy, an APC chieftain, stated that the outcome of the Ekiti election reflects the party's popularity and the confidence of the people in APC governance.
