Oyebanji Wins Ekiti Governorship Election with 319,224 Votes

Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in the Ekiti governorship election, receiving 319,224 votes. His closest rival, Wole Oluyed of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), secured 40,543 votes, while Oluwadar Bejid of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) finished third with 12,872 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported a total of 382,109 valid votes cast out of 384,940 accredited voters. Oyebanji expressed confidence in the electoral process and commended voter turnout despite minor technical challenges.

He cast his vote alongside his wife, Olayemi Oyebanji, and emphasized the importance of patience during the accreditation process. The election results reflect broad support for the APC across both urban and rural communities in Ekiti State.

Oyebanji's victory grants him a fresh four-year mandate, further consolidating the APC's political dominance in the state, attributed to his administration's performance in sectors such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare.
