Bala Mohammed Stays with PDP After Meeting with Tinubu

On Friday, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his commitment to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) following a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu at the presidential villa, Aso Rock. During this meeting, Governor Mohammed briefed President Tinubu on the security situation in Bauchi State, particularly concerning bandit activities in the Alkaleri local government area.

He emphasized the need for timely attention to address these security challenges. Despite the ongoing wave of defections from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Mohammed maintained that he would not be joining the APC, stating that the decision to defect is a matter of personal choice for individuals.

His remarks come amid reports of increasing defections from the PDP, but he remains steadfast in his allegiance to his party.
