Tinubu Praises APC Primaries Amidst Manipulation Claims

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reacted positively to the conduct of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries held nationwide, stating that he was happy with the progress made by governors in various states. He emphasized that the primaries were conducted in a manner that would enhance democracy.

His comments came amid criticisms from several states alleging poor conduct and manipulation of primary results. Notably, former Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu accused the party of rigging the gubernatorial primaries in favor of his opponent, Sharafadeen Alli.

Adelabu's allegations were made public through a statement issued on Friday by his media aide, Femi Awogboro, who dismissed the claims of manipulation and asserted that Alli secured 500,000 votes during the exercise.
