APC Celebrates Tinubu's Early Lead in Presidential Primaries

Jubilation erupted at the APC headquarters following early results from the presidential primaries, indicating Bola Tinubu's significant lead. Supporters, including former Niger Delta militant leader Tompolo, gathered in large numbers to celebrate, chanting and displaying solidarity.

Tompolo sent a delegation led by Sundai Asuku to congratulate Tinubu on his early success, emphasizing the need for Nigerians to allow the president time to consolidate ongoing reforms. The results showed overwhelming victories for Tinubu in various wards across the country, with his main challenger, Stanlei Osifo, failing to secure any votes in multiple locations, including Ikoyi area in Lagos and other states like Borno, Kano, Kebbi, and Rivers.

The APC officials announced near-total victories for Tinubu, reinforcing his command in the ongoing electoral exercise. Tompolo's group expressed full support for Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027, urging Nigerians to remain united despite challenges.
