Former Super Eagles Striker Michael Eneramo Dies at 37

Michael Eneramo, a prominent former striker for the Super Eagles, passed away unexpectedly during a training session on Friday morning at Yelwa Mini Stadium in Kaduna. Sources close to the scene indicated that he suddenly slumped while participating in exercise.

His death was confirmed shortly after the incident, although his family has not yet commented on the situation. Eneramo was born in November 1985 and began his football career with Lobi Stars in 2004.

He was scouted by the Tunisian top club Espérance Sportive de Tunis and had a loan spell at USM Alger from 2004 to 2006, where he scored 13 goals in the Algerian Championnat National. Throughout his career, he played for various clubs, including Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia and Sivasspor in Turkey.

Eneramo also accepted Tunisian citizenship to be eligible for the Tunisia national team but later played for Nigeria, making his debut on February 11, 2009, and scoring against the Republic of Ireland.
