Nigerian Senate Summons NNPC CEO Over Missing ₦210 Trillion

The Nigerian Senate has summoned NNPC CEO Bayo Ojulari over the missing ₦210 trillion, expressing outrage at the company's financial discrepancies. The Senate's Public Accounts Committee revealed discrepancies in NNPC's financial statements from 2017 to 2023, including alleged illegal subsidy charges by NNPC and its subsidiary NAPIM.

The committee raised concerns over NNPC's claim of paying ₦103 trillion in cash calls to joint venture partners in 2023, despite earning only ₦24 trillion in crude oil revenue over five years. The Senate demanded explanations and possible refunds.
