Flesh-Eating Disease Outbreak in Adamawa State: 28 Infected, Urgent Medical Attention Needed

A strange flesh-eating disease has emerged in Adamawa State, infecting at least 28 individuals. The disease, which destroys bone and eats human flesh, has been confirmed by Suleiman Bashir, Chairman of the Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency.

Despite the state government covering medical costs, only eight out of the identified victims have agreed to undergo treatment at the Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital in Yola. The outbreak, primarily affecting Malabu community in Fufore Local Government Area, starts with boils that burst and gradually consume flesh, leading to bone destruction.

Urgent medical attention is advised to prevent further spread of the epidemic.
