Terrorists Attack Churches in Kaduna, Killing Seven

On Easter Sunday, terrorists launched an attack on two Christian worship centers in Ariko Community, Kachia Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The assault resulted in the deaths of seven people, with some reports suggesting the number could be as high as eight.

Several others were abducted during the incident, which was confirmed by local councillor Mark Bawa, representing the Awon ward. The targeted churches were the ECWA Church and St.

Augustine Catholic Church. The attack occurred amidst poor telecommunications coverage in the area, which hampered immediate response efforts.

Witnesses reported that a large number of assailants invaded the community, leading to sporadic gunfire and chaos among worshippers. The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
