Tinubu Sends Delegation to Oyo Over Pupils' Abduction

President Bola Tinubu has dispatched a high-powered presidential delegation to Oyo State in response to the abduction of 46 pupils and a teacher from the Baptist Nursery Primary School in Esiel Yawota, Orir Local Government Area. The delegation is led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and includes National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Inspector General of Police Tunde Disu, Defence Minister General Christoph Musa, Minister of Power Joseph Tegbe, and Special Adviser on Public Communication Sunday Dare.

The abduction occurred when armed men stormed the school, taking hostages and causing panic in the community. President Tinubu has already initiated coordinated security efforts to ensure the safe release of the victims and the apprehension of those responsible for the attack.

The federal government is expected to intensify rescue operations to address the situation and ensure the safe return of the abducted pupils and teacher.
