Tinubu Extends Tenure of Surveyor General for Critical Reforms

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a two-year extension of the tenure of Surveyor General of the Federation, Abuduganiyu Adebomehin, to complete critical reforms in land management and infrastructure coordination. Adebomehin's appointment aims to modernize Nigeria's geospatial data infrastructure and enhance coordination among agencies involved in land and environment management.

The extension will focus on national land management, administration, highway abutment, land infrastructure coordination, and erosion control programs. This decision was made to consolidate the reforms initiated under Adebomehin's leadership.
