Tinubu Reshuffles Cabinet, Removes Two Ministers

In a minor cabinet reshuffle, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has removed Wale Edun from his role as Minister of Finance and Musa Dangiwa from his position as Minister of Housing and Urban Development. The announcement was made by Yomi Odunuga, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, on Tuesday.

The reshuffle is part of an effort to strengthen government cohesion and enhance the delivery of economic impacts under the Nigerian Renewed Hope Agenda. According to a memo signed by George Akum, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Edun will be succeeded by Taiwo OYedele as Minister of State for Finance, while Muttaqha Rabe Darma, PhD, has been nominated for the Minister of Housing and Urban Development.

The reshuffle was approved by President Tinubu, exercising powers conferred by Sections 147 and 148 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). The memo also expressed gratitude to the outgoing ministers for their service to the nation.
