Bauchi Governor Declares Public Holiday to Honor Late Islamic Scholar

Bauchi State Governor declared Friday, November 28, a public holiday to honor the late Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi's burial. The decision was made to allow workers, students, and the general public to participate in the funeral rites of the renowned Islamic scholar.

Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi was a leader in the Tijjaniyyah sect and had a significant impact on Quranic studies, Islamic scholarship, spiritual mentorship, and promoting peace and unity. The Governor recognized his contributions to Islam and his legacy of moral uprightness.

The late Sheikh studied under scholars like Sheikh Tijani Usman Zangon Bare and Shaykh Abubakar Atiku. Nigerians have started mourning the loss of this influential figure.
