Uba Sani Launches Community Justice Centre Initiative

On Thursday, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State announced the commencement of a statewide Community Justice Centre Initiative designed to bring affordable justice services closer to communities across Kaduna State. The initiative was unveiled during a meeting with the Kaduna State Attorney General, Jame Atung Kanyip, and the chairmen of the 23 local government councils.

The collaboration with Hiil, a global organization known for promoting innovative justice solutions, aims to establish community justice centres that will provide access to dispute resolution services at the grassroots level. This initiative is expected to help citizens resolve conflicts quickly and at lower costs, easing the pressure on conventional courts and improving justice delivery.

The pilot centres will be located in Kafanchan, Kaduna South, and Sabon Gari, with plans to expand to all 23 local government areas. Governor Sani emphasized that justice should be accessible to all citizens, regardless of their location or financial status.
