BREAKING: “Vote buyers are criminals in disguise,” – Peter Obi urges Nigerians to get PVC

Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has condemned vote-buying as a criminal act and urged Nigerians to participate in the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). The nationwide CVR exercise, including online registration, has begun ahead of the forthcoming elections in Anambra, Osun, and Ekiti States, as well as the 2027 general election.

Obi emphasized the importance of the PVC as a tool for democracy, urging all eligible Nigerians to register and vote to ensure a better future. He warned against selling votes for personal gain, stating that it perpetuates corruption and undermines the country's development.

Obi called on Nigerians to unite against election rigging and choose leaders based on competence, character, and compassion. He concluded by urging everyone to register, collect, and safeguard their PVCs to build a new Nigeria.
