Gwarzo Challenges Kano Govt on Fund Diversion Claims

Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the former Deputy Governor of Kano State, has publicly challenged the Kano State government to present evidence supporting allegations of local government fund diversion. These claims were reportedly made by Sunusi Batur, the spokesperson for Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Gwarzo characterized the allegations as false and an attempt to damage his reputation, asserting that they are mere fabrications of the governor's imagination. He emphasized the need for credible and verifiable evidence to substantiate such serious claims, stating that mere accusations, regardless of how often they are repeated in the media, do not constitute proof.

Gwarzo maintained that he has upheld transparency and accountability throughout his years of public service and expressed confidence in the truth of the matter. He urged the public to disregard the allegations, which he deemed baseless and an outrageous attempt to tarnish his integrity.
